Welcome to 2023’s first Apprentice of the Month campaign! Did you miss us?
The days have gotten longer, spring is in full effect, and here at Baltic HQ we are back to showcasing the achievements of our amazing apprentices.
In April, we received 13 incredible nominations from our employers, who all highlighted the positive impact their apprentice has had on their business. However, there can only be one winner…
Drum roll please!
APPRENTICE OF THE MONTH
April’s Apprentice of the Month has been awarded to Abigail Stephenson, a Level 3 Digital Marketing apprentice at Best Western Hotel Group GB.
Abigail was nominated by the Digital Media & Content Manager, Jordan Philips, who only had fantastic feedback about Abigail’s apprenticeship journey and work ethic.
“Abi has been an absolute delight to work with and manage, she gets on with her tasks diligently and rarely needs assistance from myself once she has picked up what she needs to know to complete a task. She’s a fast, eager, and efficient learner, who has fit well into the Best Western Digital Marketing team and the wider Marketing team almost instantaneously. One colleague in fact recently was quoted as saying “it’s like she’s always been here!”.
“This past month she’s taken on most of our Social Media output and has been doing a fantastic job. She’s also very quickly picked up the formulas used to create ad assets on Excel as well as learning to use the Google Ads Editor tool and upload ads, keywords and more onto our main Google Ads account. She has even taken the time in her own spare time to practice this skill at home and show me how she has been getting on with it.”
“Overall, we are incredibly impressed and proud of Abi’s progress so far at Best Western and we know that we only have more to come from her, well done Abi!”
Congratulations Abigail, we are so proud of you!
STAND OUT NOMINEES
This month we received many stand-out nominations from our employers! So, in no particular order, here are the 12 amazing apprentices who all equally deserve to be recognised for their achievements.
AARON TANSLEY, CONNECTIVE3
“Aaron has gone above and beyond to keep things on track and work with the internal teams to deliver campaigns for our clients. Aaron’s effort in the last few weeks has not gone unnoticed with his apprenticeship workshops, ongoing coursework and working closely with our PR team communicating directly with them to move projects forward.”
AIDAN JONES, WOSSKOW BROWN SOLICITORS LLP
“Aidan has been an excellent addition to the firm and has always been on hand to answer any calls and assist with any IT needs. On a personal level, Aidan has quickly become a well-liked member of the firm with staff often commending his manners and politeness as well as his willingness to help.”
ALEX COOK, WORK PAYS
“Alex is such a wonderful asset to the claims and data team. Since starting his apprenticeship he strives to use everything that he has learnt via his apprenticeship within his day-to-day role. He uses his own initiative to come up with ideas about how we can improve the way we are reporting. Lots of which we now use regularly. His confidence since enrolling with Baltic has increased more than I could have imagined!”
BEN KNIGHT, RODERICKS DENTAL
“Ben has been an exceptional member of our team, consistently exceeding expectations and going above and beyond his duties. He has consistently demonstrated a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and exceptional performance. His dedication to his work is evident in the quality of his output, which is consistently of the highest standard. He approaches every task with a level of enthusiasm and commitment that is truly inspiring.”
CALLUM SWINDELLS, HYDE CENTRAL SERVICES IT
“The skills that Callum has learnt since starting his apprenticeship have been invaluable to his quick growth since joining us, he is now a valuable member of the team and continues to impress with how he is picking things up. With him recently been awarded session superstar by Baltic, this is highlighting what we see on a day to day basis.”
DAVID HUGHES, COVERIS
“David is never shy to come forward, and has motivated himself to extend his knowledge through further self-studies beyond the set curriculum. He offers to share his knowledge with our colleagues and is always ready to learn from them to push himself further which makes him a more rounded person capable of delivering solutions to the business far earlier than we anticipated.”
DECLAN TAYLOR, FERNCO LTD
“Declan has been a pleasure to onboard into the Marketing department here at Fernco. His natural enthusiasm and curiosity has led to an already good understanding of our operation, route to market, customer base and products, which in-turn puts Declan in a good position to add value to the business in the form of marketing support.”
EDWARD ROBSON, ESSENTRA
“Edward has already demonstrated that he wants to learn and able to provide solutions as soon as possible. He showed a great deal of analytical skills and proved that he can tell a story with data, which got praised by our colleagues in Spain for his analysis and conclusions. In general, Edward is a meticulous and inquisitive person, progressing quite rapidly with his domain knowledge, software knowledge and problem solving skills.”
FATHIMA BEGUM, VCG TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
“Throughout her time with us, Fathima has demonstrated remarkable creativity, team-player skills, and dedication to her work, all of which have made significant contributions to our marketing activities. She has always maintained a positive attitude and has shown a willingness to help and learn wherever possible, making her an invaluable asset to our team.”
LUKE METCALFE, THE PRIVATE OFFICE
“Luke has stepped up to produce ticket closure figures above and beyond what I expected, but also did so with a smile on his face and received amazing feedback from employees in our company. To make sure service levels did not drop Luke ventured out of his comfort zone of our office to provide hands on support in our London office independently, a new environment for Luke, however the feedback was still exemplary and was a massive help.”
MEGAN BRANAGAN, TRANSACTION NETWORK SERVICES (TNS)
“Megan has been with TNS for just three months, and in that time has consumed knowledge of a complex product range, shown a willingness to learn, the ability to question things and share ideas in a constructive way, and made significant contributions to our marketing efforts – all with a great attitude and a smile on her face.”
TYLER MORRISON, BINARY MANAGED SOLUTIONS
“Tyler’s commitment to learning and mastering new technical skills has been unwavering. He has taken time to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and actively seeking out additional learning opportunities. Tyler is eager to apply his technical expertise in resolving complex IT challenges and finding innovative solutions to improve IT operations.”
