It might have taken until June, but the glorious sunshine has finally arrived, and it looks like summer is here to stay… fingers crossed!  We’re looking forward to even more sunny summer days as we enter July, but first – it’s time for our favourite time of the month.

It’s time to announce our June Apprentice of the Month winner  🎉

As you know, at Baltic we love to recognise and celebrate our apprentices’ hard work and dedication, by highlighting their success and showcasing their incredible impact on their companies. Today, we are excited to announce our June Apprentice of the Month and some stand-out nominees who have recently excelled in their roles, as shared by their managers.

APPRENTICE OF THE MONTH

Introducing June’s winner… Congratulations to Boris Kisame for being awarded June’s Apprentice of the Month!

Boris is a Level 3 IT Support Technician Apprentice with IMC LOCUMS, andhis manager, Steve, had incredible feedback on the positive impact he has had on the team over at IMC LOCUMS since starting with the company.

Read what Boris’s manager had to say about his apprenticeship journey so far.

“He has just gained session superstar recently but to be honest he goes above and beyond every single day that I believe he deserves apprentice of the month. He has an excellent attitude and is the kindest, most generous soul – his enthusiasm and work ethic continue to impress me.

In the short time that he has been with the company, he has shifted our entire mindset of IT being a struggle to one that staff no longer fret or worry about. He faces every single task head-on that is assigned and if ever there’s a downtime he researches and learns more about the platforms we use and how he can make our systems better. I have heard the same wonderful things from his mentors at Baltic and our sessions together give us a chance to sing his praises and build his self-esteem.

He is destined for wonderful things and most importantly understands that IT is a people business, and his kind, compassionate approach means he absolutely nails it.”

Congratulations, Boris, we’re so proud of you! 👏

STAND OUT NOMINEES

We also want to showcase our 5 stand-out nominees for June who deserve recognition for their workplace achievements and commitment!

OLIVIA VERNON, MARKETING APPRENTICE WITH ARCTIC CABINS LTD

“Olivia has continued to grow within her role. She is always the first to see if we need help when organising trade exhibitions and showroom re-dressing. She is exploring many areas of marketing for our Hydropool brand and excelled this month by creating new video content for platforms such as Facebook, YouTube & TikTok.

A Reel about an install has been played 934k so far with 1.2k likes and a different video on TikTok has been viewed 934.6k times, 5,164 likes and 3,568 shares.  These figures are crazy high and as a result, we have asked Olivia to work on some content for our 2 major brands Arctic Cabins and Cabin Master.“

SIMON WHITEHEAD, IT APPRENTICE WITH AABYSS

“Simon’s exceptional performance in general and during his recent training session with Baltic has not only earned him the title of Session Superstar but also the admiration and respect of his colleagues.

Simon’s attitude, enthusiasm and happiness are infectious, making every day enjoyable and productive.  Nothing is too much for him.

Simon’s commitment to excellence sets a high standard for his colleagues and, I am sure, fellow apprentices. His achievements are a clear indication of his potential to excel. I am excited to see what the future holds for Simon and am confident that he will continue to make significant strides in his apprenticeship and professional journey.”

KELSIE RALPH, MARKETING APPRENTICE WITH INTELLIGENT VOICE

“Since joining our team, Kelsie has shown incredible dedication, picked up new skills quickly, and maintained a positive attitude throughout.

Kelsie has mastered the core skills for her role in no time and is always looking to learn more. Her adaptability and willingness to learn from feedback are truly impressive. Plus, she scored 100% on her last exam!

Kelsie is always on time, reliable, and goes above and beyond. She communicates well and works great with both colleagues and partners. Overall, Kelsie’s dedication, skills, and positive energy make her a fantastic choice for Apprentice of the Month.”

BEN CAUSLEY, MARKETING APPRENTICE WITH PARAGON SKILLS

“Ben consistently handles a substantial workload, managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of work.

His ability to balance numerous responsibilities without compromising quality is remarkable. Moreover, Ben is always willing to support his colleagues, stepping in to assist with strategic initiatives, time-sensitive campaigns, and mentoring more junior team members.

Ben’s positive and can-do attitude is one of his most admirable qualities. In our high-pressure industry, he remains a source of motivation and positivity. His enthusiasm is infectious, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Ben approaches every challenge with a problem-solving mindset, significantly boosting team morale. Ben is without a doubt a rising star and deserves to be recognised for how far he has come.”

LUKE BRICHARD-PARSONS, MARKETING APPRENTICE WITH TRANSFORM COMMS

“Luke Brichard-Parsons deserves the accolade of apprentice of the month as he brings so many positive attributes to the team.  And he makes every day in the office just that little bit brighter.

Of course, Luke does all the essential things that make a great team member. His timekeeping is perfect, he records and tracks all his tasks, and he delivers his work on time, every time.

But even more than this, Luke’s work is also top quality – whether it’s video or podcast editing and captioning, social media content, or anything else he is asked to do. This consistency and flexibility is important – and very much appreciated – in our busy marketing consultancy, where we have a real focus on delivering exceptional work to clients.

In addition, Luke doesn’t just do what he’s told! He produces creative ideas that elevate projects and finds opportunities to try something different. He asks the right questions, challenges us (appropriately!) where needed, and takes every opportunity to learn and grow. Luke’s skills, positivity and enthusiasm are a real asset to our team.”
