Baltic Apprenticeships and the Institute of Sustainability Studies have announced a strategic partnership to introduce the Level 4 Sustainability for Business Impact apprenticeship—a brand-new programme designed to help businesses integrate sustainability into their operations while driving efficiency, reducing costs, and delivering measurable business impact.
Launching in June 2025, this innovative programme goes beyond theoretical learning, providing businesses with practical tools and actionable strategies to embed sustainability in a commercially viable way. Unlike traditional sustainability courses, this apprenticeship is business-driven, ensuring companies can implement meaningful sustainability initiatives while achieving a tangible return on investment.
A key highlight of this apprenticeship is the inclusion of a 12-month Diploma in Business Sustainability from the Institute of Sustainability Studies, a qualification valued at £2,150 commercially. By embedding this diploma within the apprenticeship, Baltic Apprenticeships is ensuring that learners not only gain workplace-based training but also earn an internationally recognised credential that adds value to their careers and organisations.
Beyond the Apprenticeship: Baltic’s Be-Spoke Model
This partnership extends far beyond the launch of a single programme. Through Baltic’s Be-Spoke apprenticeship model, employers will have the flexibility to customise Baltic’s existing tech and digital programmes by integrating sustainability-focused modules. This allows businesses to adapt training to their specific needs, equipping employees with both sustainability expertise and digital skills to drive business innovation and environmental responsibility.
Employers can select from a range of sustainability modules, including Introduction to Business Sustainability, Sustainability Plan Development, Sustainability Plan Implementation, Decarbonisation: Achieving Net Zero, Circular Economy, Sustainable Operations, Sustainable Supply Chain, Green Marketing, ESG Reporting and Auditing, Business with Biodiversity, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Sustainable Finance.

Live Masterclasses Led by Industry Experts
To further enrich the learning experience, apprentices will gain exclusive access to live masterclasses delivered by leading sustainability experts from the Institute of Sustainability Studies. These interactive sessions will provide valuable insights into real-world sustainability challenges and best practices, ensuring apprentices develop the skills and confidence to implement meaningful change within their organisations.
