The successful IT apprentice candidate will be providing support internally and to customers as well as conducting daily system backups and installing company hardware and software. In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job:

  • To provide technical support to internal staff, ensuring all incidents are recorded in conjunction with the incident management procedure
  • Provide support on all aspects of Microsoft 365 services for all end users
  • Set up equipment such as laptops, PCs, mobile devices and other specialist IT equipment, ensuring systems are ready for use and set up correctly
  • A responsibility for any operational IT services delegated i.e. – backups, endpoint protection daily maintenance
  • Assist in developing a standard approach to IT services within the business. This will include the image/configuration using technologies such as inTune and N-ABLE
  • A responsibility for Information Security as required, including conducting internal ISO audits in relation to the organisation's IT systems

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

  • Grade 4 in Maths and Grade 5 in English

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £17,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday 8am till 5pm
  • 1 hour lunch
  • 24 days holidays plus bank holidays
  • Day off on your birthday
  • Free parking

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support.

Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.

With a Baltic Apprenticeship, you'll be on your way to a long-term career in the IT industry. On completion of their apprenticeship programme, 95% of our learners remain in full-time employment or progress onto a higher-level apprenticeship.
