In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Software Development, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

• Testing functional and non-functional testing
• Understanding of the full development life cycle
• Initial planning of software projects using GitHub to manage projects
• Bug fixes / debugging – looking for syntax and logical errors
• Writing with coding languages PHP, C+, HTML, CSS, Java and Python
• Go / Go Lang object oriented programming
• Making simple connections between code and data sources
• Communicating via email, Github & face to face comms
• Writing logical and maintainable software solutions in line with specifications, considering performance and user experience

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• £15,000 – £17,000 per annum
• Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
• Progression opportunities to Level 4 / Full time roles
• 22 days holidays plus bank holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

• Grade 6 in Maths and 4 in English is essential for this role
• Experience in writing back-end with code
• Passion for technology
• Eager to learn and develop
• Logical mindset
• Problem solving abilities
