As an apprentice, you’ll have full exposure to the entire software lifecycle, working on a variety of projects, from large-scale development initiatives to tweaking and maintaining legacy software systems. Key Responsibilities:

  • Software Development: Manage and support the development of software solutions, ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • System Upgrades: Assist in maintaining and upgrading existing software systems to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
  • User Support & Training: Provide end-user training and support, including the creation of documentation to ensure smooth software use.
  • Coding & Troubleshooting: Work across various software projects, from big development tasks to fixing bugs and issues, while following the software lifecycle.
  • Collaboration: Support the rest of the team as needed to deliver high-quality software solutions.

It will be advantageous if you are familiar with the following languages:

  • BASIC
  • C# .NET
  • JavaScript
  • T-SQL

  • Remote Working: Comfortable with fully remote work, with daily interactions and meetings, plus a buddy system for support.

Education Requirements:

  • A Grade 4/C in English and a Grade 6/C in Maths is required for this role.

Salary, Hours, and Benefits:

  • Salary: £18,000 per annum
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (fully remote)
  • Holidays: 24 days annual leave plus all statutory bank holidays
  • Pension: Automatically enrolled in the company's Workplace Pension Scheme (Nest) with a 5% contribution from the company and a minimum 3% employee contribution (Salary Sacrifice scheme for tax savings)
  • Bonus Scheme: Eligible for the company bonus scheme (paid quarterly) after a successful probation period
