A Typical Day in the Job:

  • To administer and maintain the network infrastructure and servers on a day-to-day basis including hardware maintenance, cabling, communications and performance issues of PC’s, laptops, servers, NAS boxes, printers, scanners, mobiles, tablets, etc
  • To maintain the Microsoft 365 and SharePoint systems including allocating permissions and access to drives as required
  • To maintain, support and develop all company business systems, including network devices, firewalls, routers and switches
  • To monitor antivirus and firewall services, reporting irregularities as required
  • Setting up PC’s and laptops for users, including setting up software, mailboxes, shared drives, etc
  •  Onboarding / offboarding and delivering new user IT inductions training for both PC and laptop users
  • Provide first line of support to respond to end user IT requests, queries and faults, and resolve in a timely manner, using email, in-person, ticketing systems and RMM software

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

 

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £16,000 per annum
  • Monday – Friday 8:45-5:15
  • 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Grade 4 in Maths and 5 in English is essential for this role
  • A keen interest in IT
  • Prepared to work individually as well as in a team
  • Proactive
  • Strong personality
