Stride Communications is seeking a proactive and eager-to-learn individual for our IT Apprenticeship program. As an IT Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience in supporting our robust IT infrastructure, helping to ensure seamless connectivity and communication for our diverse clients. You'll work closely with our skilled team, learning valuable skills in troubleshooting, network management, and customer support to make an impact in the world of digital communication. A Typical Day in the Job:

  •  Support Telephone Systems and maintenance
  • Assist with the installation, integration, testing and maintenance of network and telecommunications infrastructure LAN, WAN, VPN, VoIP, Call Centre and Telephone systems ensuring all quality, asset management and configuration management processes are followed.
  • Provide support for the configuration of network switches, routers and firewalls to ensure the business demands are met whilst also maintaining a secure environment.
  • Install, support and service business customers
  • Handle telephone calls and emails from clients and create support incidents as needed and provide 1st line support to clients – via telephone, email and remote working

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £18,000 per annum.
  • Monday to Friday, 42 hours per week

Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Ability to demonstrate good problem solving skills
  • Excellent telephone manner and customer facing skills
  • Understanding of Microsoft office packages
  • Knowledge of operating systems in a business environment
  • Good organisational skills
  • Enthusiastic to learn and progress
  •  Grade 4/C in Maths and 5/C in English GCSE

Your Training with Baltic:

This apprenticeship offers you the skills, qualification, and experience needed to immerse yourself in the fast-moving world of IT. With Net-Serve’s support, you’ll become a highly skilled IT Support Technician, ready to tackle any challenge.

Beyond the fundamental apprenticeship modules, you'll delve into two custom-designed modules and one advanced expert module. This personalised approach will hone your abilities and deepen your expertise, positioning you as a true leader in your field.

Expert Module:

  • Microsoft Azure (AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals) – Suited to technology professionals who are looking to demonstrate foundational knowledge of cloud concepts in general and Microsoft Azure in particular. This certification is a common starting point in a journey towards a career in Azure, ideally the learner will already have exposure to infrastructure and/or database management. Once complete, they'll be able to describe Azure architectural components and Azure services
