An ambitious, sector specialised water and power professional company are on the hunt for its next Data Apprentice. Ipsum Utilities has partners such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s, 02 and Royal mail, and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

With customer service at the heart of everything they do, their service capability and unique industry expertise has allowed them to continually diversify into new market sectors and partner with long-term customers to offer specialist service provisions that support the design, maintenance and upgrade of their critical networks.

Whether you will be providing support through finding and collating data to creating reports to help people visualise the data you have found. You will be working in a company that prides itself to support its employees through progression. Ipsum Water has taken on many apprentices before so will be able to support you with previous experiences and motivation throughout the full apprenticeship.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data & Business Insights Level 3 apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Collect data from the daily log system – export to CSV.file – put into Excel to cross check reconciliation process to capture systems
  • Preparing presentations of deliverables, including reports
  • Analyse survey data for trend information and presenting findings
  • Extract logged comments on sewer viewer and associated systems to look at trends and investigating
  • Present to internal operations management, creating visualisations
  • Produce statistical performance information regarding site crews’ work. Plans-pictorial information, understanding where things have gone wrong and how to put it right

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the Baltic team.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Basic excel knowledge and experience with formulas
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages
  • Passionate about Data, completing independent courses etc
  • Grade C/4 or equivalent in Maths and English GCSE

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • £16,000 Per Annum
  • Monday to Friday 9 AM to 5 PM
  • 25 days holidays including bank holidays
