MRD Technologies are seeking a talented individual to join their team as an IT Apprentice. This is an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from industry experts, and launch a fulfilling career in technology. You will be rewarded with a salary ranging from £16,000-£18,000 per annum, 22 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays and a dart board in the office!
As an apprentice you will be tasked with conducting hardware installation, configuration and upgrades, conducting software updates, setting up new devices for clients and much more! In this role you will gain experience in the broad world of IT and given all the tools to build a long and successful career in the industry. As well as the expert support provided by the in-house team, you will also be working alongside a specialist coach from Baltic Apprenticeships throughout your time as an apprentice!

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician Qualification delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Conducting hardware installation, configuration and upgrades.
- Conducting software updates on Windows operating system, Microsoft 365 and other programs using enable.
- Setting up new devices for clients and their projects including routers and access points.
- Book in and check devices that have come in for repair and check the status updates on Jira.
- Tech support will be provided via Jira, email, phone and the ticketing system.
- Complying with security, creating password protected laptops and user credentials.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £16,000-£18,000 per annum.
- Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
- 22 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays!

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong communication skills.
- A passion and desire for a career in the IT industry.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to use your initiative working independently.
- Good attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Grade 5 in GCSE English and Grade 4 in GCSE Maths.
