As an IT Apprentice at Aabyss Ltd, you'll embark on a transformative learning experience. You'll work alongside seasoned professionals who will mentor and guide you through a structured training program. You'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of IT disciplines, learn from the best in the industry and develop valuable skills that will set you up for success, contribute to real projects that make a difference in the tech world & build a strong foundation for a rewarding career in IT.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Information Communication Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Complete 1st Line Support Engineer tickets following company templates, checklists, and guidelines.
  • Diagnosing and resolving software and hardware faults.
  • Installing, configuring, and supporting desktops and laptops.
  • Ensure the correct categorisation of each ticket and update throughout the lifecycle of the ticket, escalating unresolved tickets to 2nd Line Support Engineers when required.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions.
  • Supporting users and their devices, ensuring that clients are kept up to date at all times and effectively manage their expectations.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to communicate well with non-technical customers, vendors, non-technical end users and colleagues
  • Knowledge, understanding off Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Microsoft 365 knowledge
  • Problem solving skills
  • Passion for IT
  • Grade 4/C in Math’s & Grade 5/C in English

Your Training with Baltic:

This apprenticeship provides the skills, qualification and experience you need to immerse yourself within an exciting, fast-moving industry and become an effective IT Support Technician.

 

Beyond the fundamental apprenticeship modules, you'll delve into two Be-Spoke modules and one advanced Expert module. This personalised approach will hone your abilities and deepen your expertise, positioning you as a true leader in your field. The Be-Spoke and Expert modules you will complete are:

  • MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals – Demonstrate foundational-level knowledge of cloud-based solutions to facilitate productivity, compliance and collaboration among on-site, remote, and hybrid workers
  • Confident Communication – Enhance communication through self-awareness, body language, voice control, and digital skills.
  • Customer Service Fundamentals – This course covers customer service essentials: understanding customers, product knowledge, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, and self-improvement
