Their facilities include modern IT systems that support both curriculum and administrative needs. You’ll work closely with our IT Manager and team, gaining invaluable experience and contributing to the seamless delivery of technology services that enhance teaching and learning.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Monitoring and responding to IT help desk queries, resolving issues promptly to maintain user satisfaction.
  • Setting up and maintaining IT hardware and software, including PCs, laptops, projectors, and interactive screens.
  • Assisting staff and students with IT-related queries and troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining the school’s IT systems, including Active Directory, Google Education, and NetSupport.
  • Managing asset inventories and supporting the administration of equipment loans.
  • Preparing IT equipment for school events, including sound, lighting, and video setup.
  • Supporting e-safety and monitoring security alerts, escalating concerns as needed.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Passionate about IT with a proactive and solution-focused mindset.
  • A confident communicator, able to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Organised, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with basic IT troubleshooting and Microsoft Office tools.
  • A Grade 5/C in English and a Grade 4/C in Maths is required for this role

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Salary: £16,366 per annum
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 3:30pm term-time only, 41 weeks per year (30 minutes unpaid lunch break)
  • Free onsite parking

Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships:

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualifications and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

 

You’ll be based full-time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
