Calling all aspiring IT Technicians! CareCo are ready to hire their next IT Apprentice to join their team as an IT Apprentice!

As an IT Apprentice, you will be an essential part of the team, responsible for providing IT Support, escalate support requests, managing internal systems and more to enhance your IT skills and reach your true potential!

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Information Communication Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Assist in supporting a variety of CareCo-managed system applications, including core IT tools (Windows, Office, Telephony), as well as bespoke applications like OrderWise, PeopleHR, and others used in business processes.
  • Learn to monitor and respond to requests from colleagues via email, ticket systems, and phone calls, providing basic troubleshooting assistance or escalating issues as needed.
  • Networking tasks and responsibilities
  • Microsoft 365 Support
  • Fixing Hardware & Software issues, building PCS and setting up new equipment
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing staff, ensuring smooth transitions with CareCo’s managed systems.
  • Work alongside the team to coordinate or escalate any technical issues to external support contacts, including Central IT, OrderWise, and Purple Comms, as required.
  • Gain experience in proactive and reactive system maintenance tasks related to CareCo Managed Systems, ensuring everything operates smoothly.
  • You'll receive training in key software applications and system management processes to build your technical expertise.
  • Regular support and mentorship from experienced colleagues will guide you through system support activities and provide hands-on experience with the systems in use at CareCo.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Salary – £20,800
  • Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5 PM
  • 24 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays – Rising for year of service
