As an apprentice, you’ll develop essential IT skills, support users with technical issues, and contribute to maintaining our cutting-edge IT systems. In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 IT Support Apprentice, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Establish and diagnose ICT issues: Working with 3rd software tools you will be able to diagnose and resolve customer technical faults
- Testing and troubleshooting software and hardware: Diagnose and resolve customer technical faults, driving timely and effective fault resolution.
- Working with a ticketing system: Ensuring all calls, emails are logged accurately and escalate requests as needed
- Communicating with clients: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, focus on consistent and clear communication, deeply understanding client needs
- Install and configure software and hardware: Working as part of a team, you will be installing hardware and configuring software to meet the client’s needs.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
- Passion for IT
- Willing to learn
- Confident communicator
- Experience within a customer-facing role would be beneficial
- A grade C/5 in English and grade C/4 Maths is required for this role
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £15,000 – £16,000 per annum
- Monday-Friday, 08.30am-5pm
- 21 days holidays + bank holidays

This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we’ll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.
Your Training with Baltic Apprenticeships
This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
With a Baltic Apprenticeship, you'll be on your way to a long-term career in the IT industry. On completion of their apprenticeship programme, 95% of our learners remain in full-time employment or progress onto a higher-level apprenticeship.
