IT Support Apprentice – CTK Sixth Forms

Are you looking to start your career in IT with hands-on experience in a dynamic education environment? CTK Sixth Forms is offering an exciting IT Support Apprenticeship where you will gain valuable skills in IT support, troubleshooting, and network maintenance across our three sixth form sites.

CTK Sixth Forms is a highly respected group of sixth forms in London, offering high-quality education to students aged 16-19. Their IT team plays a vital role in ensuring that staff and students have the technical support they need to succeed. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your IT skills in a supportive and professional environment.

A Typical Day in the Job:

• Providing 1st & 2nd line technical support to students and staff.
• Assisting with the maintenance and support of the IT network, hardware, and software.
• Responding to IT helpdesk queries via phone, face-to-face, or remote access tools.
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and AV equipment.
• Helping to maintain IT documentation and asset registers.
• Supporting the IT team with administrative duties and service development.
• Ensuring IT security and best practices are followed.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge:

• A passion for IT and problem-solving.
• Good knowledge of Windows 10, Mac OS, MS Office, and MS365.
• Understanding of email systems, anti-virus software, and internet security.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
• Willingness to travel between sites when required.
• A Grade 5/C in GCSE English and a Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths is required for this role.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

• £15,525 per annum
• Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
