Your Role as an IT Support Apprentice

As part of their Managed Service Team, you’ll gain hands-on experience and technical expertise while working towards a Level 3 Information Communication Technician qualification, delivered by Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Triaging and logging IT issues based on severity, escalating where necessary using our IT Service Management Tool.
  • Assisting with customer support, including verifying license numbers, reviewing backups, and performing test restores.
  • Supporting customer onboarding, configuring Office 365 and resolving device setup issues.
  • Working closely with 1st and 2nd line support to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues.

Salary, Hours & Benefits: 

  • Salary: £17,000 – £18,000
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (37.5 hours per week)
  • Holidays: 23 days + bank holidays
  • Quarterly salary reviews to support your career progression.
  • Hybrid working (2 days in office, 3 from home after 3-4 months).

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Passion for IT, demonstrated through studies or personal projects.
  • Basic understanding of computer components and troubleshooting.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and eager to learn.

Required Grades – Maths 4/C, English 5/C

Your Training with Baltic:

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT. 

You’ll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, you’ll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.

You’ll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.

Expert: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900 Microsoft 365 Fundamentals)

Bespoke: Customer Service Fundamentals
