As an Apprentice IT Support Engineer at Isio, you will be part of a dynamic IT team, providing 1st line support to a user base of over 600 employees. You will interact with colleagues across the business, resolving technical issues, providing guidance on IT systems, and ensuring smooth operation of essential devices and applications.
In this role, you’ll work towards your IT Support Technician Level 3 apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Provide 1st line support for IT issues, including phone, service desk, and Teams communications
- Log and manage support requests, ensuring timely responses and resolution
- Categorise and prioritise incoming service desk calls
- Follow documented procedures to troubleshoot issues
- Reset passwords and set up accounts for Microsoft and Isio systems
- Configure and support mobile devices, ensuring functionality for email, Office apps, and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities
- Maintain the knowledge base with helpful tips and solutions
- Handle ad hoc IT tasks and requests as directed by senior IT staff
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- £19,000 per annum
- Working Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- A genuine interest and motivation to work in IT
- A good understanding of different IT devices, including laptops, smartphones, and tablets
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to self-manage time and progress both on-the-job and with off-the-job learning
- Intermediate to strong understanding of Microsoft Software, including Windows 10/11, Office 365, and Teams
- Grade 4/C in Maths and 5/C in English at GCSE is required for this role
